Emília Dantas Ribas foi a primeira mulher a escrever um romance em Ponta Grossa, no ano de 1949. No romance, “A Primavera Voltará”, Vanira, uma professora na cidade de Monte Belo, cidade fictícia, mas em que se reconhecem lugares de Ponta Grossa como a Rua XV, conta sua história em primeira pessoa.

A escritora, nascida em Ponta Grossa em 1907, foi alfabetizada no Grupo Escolar Senador Correia, depois cursou a Escola Normal Primária de Ponta Grossa, sempre como melhor aluna.

Foi mais tarde diretora do Colégio Júlio Teodorico e da própria Escola Normal Primária. Conviveu com a poetisa Helena Kolody e com a irmã, também romancista, Judite Dantas Pimentel, que a influenciaram literariamente.

Emília deu grande contribuição à imprensa local com artigos, ensaios e poemas. Também foi palestrante e debatedora em programas de rádio. Escreveu, em 1949, o romance “A Primavera Voltará”, onde a personagem Vanira conta em primeira pessoa sua vida, o meio em que vive e faz análises psicológicas de outros personagens habitantes de Monte Belo.

A escritora casou em segundas núpcias com Odilon Lustoza Ribas, que veio a ser avô de Osmario Souza Ribas. Este conta tudo o que lembra de Emília.

“Meu avô Odilon Lustoza Ribas casou em segundas núpcias com a professora Emília Dantas Ribas. O meu avô faleceu em 1960. Eu nasci em 1963, e depois, com a morte de meu avô, ela se distanciou um pouco de nós. Quando casou com meu avô, ele já morava em Curitiba na Rua Ébano Pereira e ela morou nesse apartamento até a morte dela em 1978. Ela, viúva, vinha pouco para cá. Lembro de que ela vinha em dia de eleições para votar. Tinha uma voz grossa, disso lembro bem”, explica.

Osmario também tem outras lembranças. “Ela está sepultada em nossa Capela no Municipal São José. Lembro do enterro dela. Eu tinha 15 anos e fui. A irmã Marcelina que era solteira passou a morar com ela quando ficou viúva e continuou morando nesse apartamento até o seu falecimento também em 2007”, recordou.
