Em resposta aos apelos de alunos do curso de Jornalismo das Faculdades Secal, um novo método para as práticas tem sido desenvolvido pela coordenação e demais membros do corpo docente. De fato, após alguns anos caminhando no deserto, subsistindo em meio ao campus acadêmico que se limitava às salas de aula e laboratórios, a prática do jornalismo tem se tornado rotina para veteranos e calouros. Cobertura de eventos, jornais e revistas laboratório, site de notícias e o vislumbre de uma agência de comunicação fazem parte da nova cara do curso.
Quem por ventura passar por qualquer campus da faculdade em dia de evento encontrará grupos de alunos portando máquinas fotográficas, câmeras filmadoras, gravadores ou até mesmo os tradicionais bloquinhos de anotações. O mesmo anseio que motiva os jovens a entrarem neste meio acadêmico agora os encoraja a uma dedicação admirável na execução de exercícios designados pelos seus mestres. Por que nem sempre foi assim!? Uma metodologia antiga, limitação de recursos, preguiça discente… Não importa. A mudança chegou!
A agenda da cidade, aos poucos, também está se tornando o foco dos alunos que estão buscando o aperfeiçoamento das técnicas transmitidas em sala de aula. O Salão de Turismo dos Campos Gerais, evento que aconteceu entre os dias 27 e 30 de agosto e que apresentou a diversidade de produtos regionais com espaço para a gastronomia, artesanato e manifestações culturais, foi um dos acontecimentos registrados pelos futuros jornalista. Assim ocorre com o IV Festival Literário Internacional dos Campos Gerais – Flicampos, a Beer Station em Carambeí, a Exposição Feira Agropecuária, Industrial e Comercial dos Campos Gerais – Efapi, o Primeiro Encontro de Mestres Cervejeiros de Ponta Grossa e demais eventos que acontecerão daqui para frente.
A Revista Nova Pauta, uma produção dos acadêmicos do sexto período, também é uma novidade que será lançada no mês de outubro. Com todas as editorias voltadas para o âmbito social, o informativo visa ampliar o conhecimento da população sobre os problemas enfrentados fora dos limite centrais da cidade. Transporte público, saúde, moradia e saneamento são alguns dos temas abordados nesta primeira edição. O jornal +Sabor vem de outro ângulo para abordar todas as inflexões de temas relacionados a alimentação. Sempre com responsabilidade e dedicação, esses novos produtos informativos são desenvolvidos como forma de contribuição para a comunicação dentro do setor acadêmico e da sociedade pontagrossense no geral.
