Os pais do jogador Lucas Duso, do Novo Basquete Ponta Grossa (NBPG), viajaram centenas de quilômetros para acompanhar o filho que disputa a Supercopa Brasil de Basquete na posição de armador.
Carlos Alberto Duso (59) e Sandra Regina Lopes Duso (57) contam que o filho saiu de casa com quatorze anos para começar sua carreira no basquete. “Nós estamos acompanhando ele como família, sempre estamos juntos”, disse o pai. “O apoio da família é muito importante, nós temos a obrigação de acompanhá-lo, fazendo com que ele se sinta importante como atleta”, fala a mãe.
Eles relatam que sempre estão em Ponta Grossa acompanhando os jogos do filho. “Nós andamos 700 km para chegar aqui. Somos de Mococa/SP. Viemos pela expectativa que o campeonato proporciona para equipe desenvolver e poder classificar para uma Liga Ouro”, diz Carlos Alberto.
Sandra Regina ressalta que a “expectativa é muito grande”. “Viemos para apoiar a equipe toda porque o time não é só o nosso filho, para nós isso é muito importante”.
O que pensa o filho?
Lucas diz que entrou no esporte por influência da família. “Meu pai é técnico de basquete, desde os dois anos eu estou na quadra. Meu irmão foi um dos incentivadores, foi meu espelho, ele jogou até os 23 anos”.
O jogador diz ainda que começou jogar basquete com sete anos de idade e profissionalmente aos quinze. Ele chegou ao NBPG em julho de 2015 e comenta sobre os pais. “Eles são minha vida. Saíram da minha cidade natal para viajar dez horas de carro! É muito gratificante. Eu penso neles quando estou em quadra jogando”.
Durante o jogo os pais demonstraram muita animação, vibrando a cada lance e ao final da partida comemoram a vitória do NBPG.
