A cada 40 segundos uma pessoa tira a própria vida no mundo, um brasileiro a cada 45 minutos. Segundo a Organização Mundial da Saúde, nove em cada dez casos poderiam ser prevenidos. Muitos são portadores de doenças mentais e não têm condições de acesso a profissionais especializados, outros têm uma crise, ou não tem com quem contar.

Embora a depressão seja um transtorno comum nos casos de suicídios, há outros transtornos mentais que podem desencadear a ideação suicida, ou outros transtornos associados à depressão. E quando eles podem ser manipuláveis, há uma predisposição existente no adolescente em ser manipulável, induzido, até mesmo em contrariar uma regra social ou familiar juntamente ligada à patologia já existente.

Segundo a lei, no artigo 122 do Código Penal Brasileiro a “indução ao suicídio é um crime e é classificado como um crime contra a vida, que consiste provocar, incitar ou estimular alguém a suicidar ou prestar-lhe auxílio para que o faça. Estará enquadrado neste artigo aquele que cria em outro a ideia do suicídio (induzir), aquele que reforça ideia já existente (instigar) e aquele que prestar auxílio material ao suicida (auxílio)”, comenta Tassiana Breus.

A pessoa é levada ao suicídio pelo acúmulo de situações e sentimentos por vezes insuportáveis. É usual que haja um fator desencadeante, dando à sensação de total impotência e desespero. Mas também podem ser explicados, em parte, pela dificuldade de muitos jovens de enfrentar as exigências sociais e psicológicas na adolescência. E nessa etapa, o jovem pode passar por experiências de grandes mudanças que podem desenvolver pensamentos e comportamentos suicidas de acordo com a psicóloga Tassiana.

Relembrando o jogo da baleia azul, por exemplo, o psicólogo João Paulo Santos diz que ”tem ganhado o público adolescente justamente porque nessa fase da vida o jovem ainda não está com a sua estrutura psíquica totalmente amadurecida”. “Evidente, um hábil manipulador terá maior influência sobre esta faixa etária. A adolescência é um período cheio de mudanças e adaptações, crises são comuns nessa fase. De modo geral, pode-se considerar que o aceite da manipulação está relacionado a algum problema em seu desenvolvimento”, explica.

Os psicólogos afirmam a importância de abordar o tema para que não se torne tabu para sociedade, deveria ser obrigatórias as escolas fornecerem palestras para pais e alunos sobre esses temas, levando ao seu conhecimento que existe tratamento para depressão, punição para quem comete qualquer tipo de discriminação ao outro.

Contudo na série 13 reasons why a controvérsias, alguns concordam que é importante abordar mais com delicadeza, já outros acreditam que a série não respeitou o manual de prevenção de acordo com a psicóloga Tassiana Breus. “ O suicídio é evidente demais, e a cena do suicídio não é recomendada. Está em todos os manuais de prevenção não transformar a pessoa que se mata em herói e não mostrar detalhes do método. São princípios não cumpridos pela série. A trama tem inúmeras inverossimilhanças na comparação com a vida real. A principal delas é o fato de a protagonista não apresentar doença mental”.

Quando o assunto é prevenção de suicídio, o problema requer o envolvimento de todos e não somente às autoridades. É comum que se fuja ou se mude de assunto quando alguém procura ajuda ou comenta que alguém tentou tirar a vida. Essas são oportunidades de melhorar a eficácia do círculo de relacionamento dos que precisam.

É urgente quebrar o silêncio sobre o suicídio, conversar sobre o assunto, aceitar o fato de que existe e que todos estão suscetíveis a isso e que existe prevenção. Estimular as faculdades de saúde e escolas a tratarem do tema em sala de aula, capacitar os professores a prestarem atenção aos sinais de seus alunos e oferecerem ajuda.

Utilizar as redes para identificar sinais de alerta, como o Facebook que criou no ano passado, um recurso pelo qual um usuário pode alertar o administrador que um conhecido seu, dá sinais de ideação suicida. E, nesses casos, o Facebook alerta essa pessoa que alguém está preocupado com ela e oferece opções de ajuda, inclusive com os contatos do Centro de Valorização da Vida (CVV).
