Mulheres com filhos pequenos têm mais dificuldade de encontrar emprego, aponta IBGE

O Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE) divulgou no início de 2022 a pesquisa “Estatísticas de Gênero – Os indicadores sociais das mulheres no Brasil”. Realizado em 2019, o estudo aponta que 54,6% das mulheres de 25 a 49 anos que possuem filhos estão desempregadas. Já a taxa de ocupação de gênero a partir de 15 anos mostra que 54,5% das mulheres estão no mercado de trabalho, comparados a 73,7% dos homens.

Segundo a pesquisa, 67,2% das mulheres que não têm filhos pequenos conseguem emprego, como mostra o infográfico.

 

Emeli Franco, 30, mãe da Caroline, está desempregada há dois anos. De acordo com ela, as mães precisam escolher entre sustentar ou criar seus filhos. “Consegui emprego em uma empresa que eu teria que trabalhar 12 horas por dia. Eu não conseguiria ter uma vida com minha filha. Então, seria complicado deixar ela com outras pessoas”, explica.

Segundo Emeli, empresas deveriam dar mais oportunidades para as mães, pelo fato de ter um filho gerando responsabilidade em sustentá-lo. “Uma mãe tem problemas, crianças doentes que precisam de remédios e de cuidados. A gente também tem dificuldades financeiras, isso acarreta em procurar um emprego. Você precisa trabalhar, alimentar seu filho, dar uma vida digna e justa para ele. Mas, uma mãe não pode ter um emprego porque tem filho”, desabafa.

Para a advogada de Direito Trabalhista, Caroline De Bortoli, o problema das empresas em contratar mulheres com filhos seria o desempenho no trabalho, rendimento, questão operacional da função, faltas que às vezes prejudicam o andamento e a logística de uma empresa. O filho fica doente, a mãe precisa faltar e levar ao médico. “A Constituição Federal diz que não deve haver discriminação, então, os anúncios que muitas vezes são encontrados em redes sociais com vagas para mulheres sem filhos, são ilegais” explica.

Conforme Caroline, o artigo 6º da Constituição trata a proteção à maternidade como um direito social, incluindo a mulher que tem filhos, desmistificando a ligação de maternidade com quem é gestante. São os direitos sociais a educação, a saúde, ao trabalho, a moradia, ao lazer, a segurança, a previdência social, a proteção à maternidade e à infância e assistência aos desamparados. “Se eu tenho garantido na lei, na Constituição Federal, e em um anúncio diz que a mulher pode ser contratada, mas ela não pode ter filhos, estou indo contra o que lei está versando”.
