No ano de 2018trêsamigos, (Rehael Martins), (JorgeBahls) e (Eric Santana) tiveram uma conversa sobre um possível projeto instrumental, logo em seguida pensaram a respeito de um convite para o futuro vocalista da banda, pois, já seguiam ensaiando dessa maneira há um bom tempo. E assim se deu o início da banda “HOOVARANAS”.
Com um nome peculiar e um grande significado ‘hoovaranas’ surgiu como homenagem ao bairro ‘uvaranas’ de onde vieram os frequentes ensaios da banda. Além de existir a planta ‘uvarana’, vale mencionar que o bairro Uvaranas tem esse nome graças a uma árvore chamada “Uvarana”, sendo uma espécie de palmeira, muito encontrada nessa região de Ponta Grossa, dizem Rehael e Eric.
A banda teve grande repercussão na região e já realizaram apresentações desde meados de 2018, pois, tiveram sempre amigos na cidade que lhes davam oportunidades de tocar em eventos que organizavam, ou em bares que trabalhavam.
Com o tempo, a bandacomeçou a viajar e tocar em eventos maiores, mas somente em 2020 encerraram as apresentações ao vivo por conta da pandemia. Desde então fizeram cerca de 40 apresentações aqui no Paraná, Santa Catarina e São Paulo. A banda já produziu um álbum em 2019 chamado “Poluição Sonora” e também um EP de 2020 chamado “Isolamento”, ambos podem ser ouvidos nas principais plataformas digitais, como o Spotify, Deezer, YouTube e etc.
Músicas neopsicodélicas
“Neopsicodelia é um termo usado recentemente para artistas que trabalham com um som cheio de influências setentista, cheio de delay e efeitos ‘psicodélicos’, mas misturando com uma sonoridade a mais, ainda sim, cheia de misturas rítmicas e melódicas”, conta Rehael.
“Nós somos grandes fãs do Rock Psicodélico sessentista e setentista, além da nova onda de rock psicodélico no início dos anos 2010 que nos influenciou e nos influência muito até hoje. Com certeza ver bandas da nossa época fazendo essa categoria de som, nos motivou a fazer o som que fazemos hoje, mas creio que estamos nos distanciando cada vez mais desse rótulo de banda “Psicodélica”. As novas músicas estão com uma pegada bem diferente do que trouxemos até agora, estão muito mais trabalhadas, com novas influências, novas experimentações e um novo sentimento”, diz Eric.
