Filho do cirurgião-dentista Herberto Gevert comenta sobre a vida do pai

Herberto Carlos Gevert, ex-cirurgião-dentista e ex-professor titular de Odontologia da UEPG, foi e é um dos grandes da odontologia pontagrossense. Junto a Carlos Alberto Berger, Osmário Pimentel dos Santos e outros, Herberto é lembrado por pacientes, alunos, amigos e familiares como uma autoridade da odontologia.

Os filhos de Herberto, Marcos Gevert e Carlos Gevert, seguiram os passos do pai que tanto admiravam. Ambos são hoje médicos. O primeiro relata com orgulho a história do pai:

Meu pai nasceu em 07 setembro de 1927, humilde filho de funileiro. Morou na infância sofrida na Rua Princesa Izabel em frente ao empadinhas Otto. Meu avô Alberto era compadre do Otto. Vislumbrava algo melhor. Foi trabalhar com o Dr. Otoniel, então o melhor dentista da cidade, lembrado irmão do ex-reitor do UEPG Osmário Pimentel dos Santos. Por estímulo deste foi para Curitiba e cursou odontologia na UFPR. Depois só sucesso. Abençoado por Deus, casou com a minha mãe Mariana Fetzer Gevert, irmã do João Joaquim Fetzer, ainda vivo, atuante e expoente na agricultura do município e ex-diretor da cooperativa agrícola e um dos fundadores da Sicredi no município. Teve com minha mãe 3 filhos: eu, Carlos Alberto Gevert e Sérgio Luiz Gevert. O primeiro médico como eu e o segundo engenheiro civil.

Como pai foi o melhor. Choro aqui ao escrever isso. Foi o melhor do mundo!  Preocupado, amigo e atencioso. Sempre presente. Tinha que falar com os filhos todos os dias. Nesse tempo não existia celular. Eu ligava do orelhão sempre às 20 horas. Se atrasasse a ligação já dava desespero no velho. Morreu precocemente, mas em paz, aos 74 anos em 17/09/2020. Enfim cumpriu sua missão na terra. Deixou legado e saudades. Profissional indiscutível e professor admirado. Com o próximo prefeito vou tentar colocar uma rua com o nome dele. Minha tia Milda tem uma escola aí com o nome dela, única irmã de meu pai.”

A paixão que Herberto tinha pela área da saúde passou para o filho Marcos, que o passa hoje ao seu filho, continuando a trajetória do pai. “Tenho um filho, neto do meu pai, também médico, residente na Santa Casa em Cirurgia em Ponta Grossa, Eduardo Gevert, nosso orgulho”, diz.
