Alterações fisiológicas e psicológicas fazem parte deste período

O período pós-parto, conhecido como puerpério, refere-se ao momento de transição após o nascimento do bebê, onde ocorrem intensas alterações fisiológicas e psicológicas nas mulheres, envolvendo aspectos hormonais, familiares e a adaptação de uma nova rotina. O início do puerpério é logo após o parto e pode chegar até 12 meses após o nascimento do bebê

Alterações no corpo – e pressão a volta do corpo de antes – uma nova rotina familiar, a amamentação, demandas do bebê, descanso insuficiente e pressões sociais, mostram que as mudanças após o parto são muitas.A mãe Daniele Batista comenta sobre as dificuldades neste período.“A cobrança é muito grande; a mãe normalmente é esquecida e você não pode reclamar de nada, afinal, você e o bebê estão com saúde”.

A psicóloga Gislaine Oliveira fala que o momento do nascimento, que apesar de ser um evento vinculado à alegria e celebração, é um período em que muitas mulheres se sentem cansadas e desamparadas. “É necessário ter atenção para identificar os sentimentos que as puérperas possam vir apresentar, porque para além da atenção fisiológica é necessário ter cuidado e atenção com a parte psíquica”.

Segundo um estudo realizado pela Fiocruz, no Brasil, em cada quatro mulheres, mais de uma apresenta sintomas de depressão no período de 6 a 18 meses após o nascimento do bebê. “É muito importante debater sobre o tema e trazer a conhecimento das gestantes. Durante a minha gravidez, eu pesquisei muito sobre o parto, e nada sobre o que aconteceria depois”, relata a mãe Daniele.

“As puérperas precisam ser compreendidas. Psicose puerperal, depressão pós-parto, baby blues, são problemas sérios que precisam de vigilância”, diz a psicóloga Gislaine.
