As consequências da prostituição para sociedade

A atividade é algo preocupante para moradores, que vivenciam perturbação de sossego, falta de respeito e cenas indecentes em plena luz do dia

Moradores da Vila Ezilda, em Ponta Grossa, estão revoltados por terem que conviver com a prostituição na porta de suas casas. A região, localizada nas proximidades do cemitério Municipal São José, entre as ruas Travessa Pasteur, Frederico Bahls e Ayrton Playsant, é conhecida como “corredor de prostituição”.Neste local há, entre outros, restaurantes, padarias, igreja e uma escola infantil.
Estas imediações recebem, diariamente, grande movimento de carros com pessoas que procuram por relações sexuais com travestis e prostitutas. O lugar funciona como comércio sexual há pelo menos três décadas e as reclamações são constantes por todos que moram nas redondezas.
Há 15 anos convivendo com cenas absurdas envolvendo travestis, uma entrevistada, que preferiu não ser identificada, disse que já fez de tudo para acabar com o problema, mas nada resolveu. “Sempre teve prostituição, mas de um tempo pra cá o número de travestis aumentou e eles não tem pudor algum conosco”, contou.
Segundo informações existem pessoas que comandam os travestis que ficam no local. Como forma de protesto e para tentar intimidar os clientes, os moradores criaram um grupo com comerciantes da região e divulgaram através do WhatsApp uma lista com placas e modelos de veículos que frequentam e contratam serviços, mas nem isso fez diminuir o número de pessoas que usam a frente das residências para fazer sexo.
O mecânico Demétrius José Gomes, que trabalha nas proximidades há pelo menos dez anos, precisou instalar câmeras de monitoramento para dar fim em um problema que prejudicava o estabelecimento, uma vez que o local, à noite, era utilizado como banheiro. Em entrevista o mecânico comentou ainda que não existe apenas o comércio sexual, mas também consumo de bebidas alcoólicas e possivelmente até drogas.
foto 02Ainda de acordo com depoimentos colhidos dos comerciantes, o incômodo maior é por parte dos travestis. “As prostitutas são daqui de Ponta Grossa mesmo e elas não causam problemas conosco. O que nos revolta são os travestis que vêm de outras localidades, estados e até de outros países. Eles usam pouca roupa e no verão ficam seminus”.
Diversos boletins de ocorrências foram confeccionados e até oficializados ao Promotor de Justiça. Os residentes da região estiveram reunidos com o prefeito Marcelo Rangel, vereadores, comandos da Polícia Militar, Guarda Municipal e um representante dos travestis para chegar a um consenso, o que também não resolveu o impasse.
Um dos entrevistados relatou que pretende mudar de endereço, mas preocupa-se em conseguir vender o imóvel, tendo em vista que todos conhecem a realidade que enfrentam diariamente. “Eu sei que a prostituição não é crime e que o poder público não pode intervir na situação. Com isso, não vejo uma solução para este problema”.
Um empresário revelou que muitas vezes sente-se constrangido com o que presencia. “É normal você se deparar com prostitutas e travestis por aqui. Infelizmente convivemos com discussões, gritos, brigas, cenas de nudez em nosso cotidiano”. Outro entrevistado falou que “eles (travestis) são mais protegidos do que nós”. Em relação a esta afirmação, o Secretário de Cidadania e Segurança Pública do Município, Ary Lovato. “Prostituição não é crime, favorecimento a prostituição é crime”, confira a fala do secretário.
