Estreou pela Seleção Brasileira principal em 10 de agosto de 2011 em partida amistosa contra a Alemanha, e em 7 de maio de 2014, foi convocado para integrar a Seleção Brasileira para a Copa do Mundo FIFA de 2014 que foi realizada no Brasil. Clube atual do jogador é o Manchester City da Inglaterra.

Nascida em Curitiba no em 13 de janeiro de 1913, faleceu em 1981 também na capital paranaense,é uma engenheirabrasileira. Formou-se em Engenharia Civil em 1945 pela UFPR, entrando para a história como a primeira mulher a se formar em engenharia no estado e a primeira engenheira negra do Brasil. Em 1940, ingressou na Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Paraná.
Em 1946, foi exonerada da Escola da Linha de Tiro, no Juvevê, e torna-se auxiliar de engenharia na Secretaria de Estado de Viação e Obras Públicas. No ano seguinte, é descoberta pelo governador Moisés Lupion, que a desloca para o Departamento Estadual de Águas e Energia Elétrica.

Nasceu em Uraí em 19 de junho de 1979, é um futebolista brasileiro, iniciou sua carreira no PSTC, clube de Londrina e, em seguida, passou às categorias de base do Atlético Paranaense.Suas boas atuações no Atlético o levaram à Seleção Brasileira, no ano seguinte, a ser incluído entre 23 jogadores chamados por Luiz Felipe Scolari para a Copa do Mundo de 2002.

Nascido na cidade de Castro, 6 de maio de 1879, faleceu em 23 de outubro de 1970 maestro e compositor brasileiro.Bento era filho do tabelião João Bernardes de Albuquerque e de Graciliana Reis de Albuquerque, em 1895 foi para Curitiba estudar piano e violino no Conservatório de Belas Artes, fundou a Sociedade Orquestral Paranaense. Em 1947, seu Hino do Paraná, composto em 1903, tornou-se o hino oficial do Estado.

Trabalhou no terceiro ano da faculdade na assessoria de comunicação da Rede Ferroviária Federal. Trabalhou na TV Curitiba durante três meses e foi chamado pra fazer férias na RPC, onde acabou trabalhando por 26 anos.

Em ritmo de futebol em meados dos anos de 1940 surge em Curitiba a primeira escola de samba de Curitiba. Era a Colorado, na época também composta por ex-jogadores e diretores do Ferroviário, que no futuro veio a adotar o mesmo nome do grupo carnavalesco, antes de se tornar Paraná Clube.
A relação com o clube da Vila Capanema se tornou ainda mais próxima em 1949. Após serem desabrigados do antigo local de ensaio, a escola de samba foi acolhida no Estádio Durival Britto e Silva. Em troca ficou a condição de apoiar ao Ferroviário nas arquibancadas.

Seu irmão Lalo, também músico, presenteou-o com um violão.Foi o primeiro cantor/compositor a depor no Museu da Imagem e do Som. Obteve classificação por duas vezes consecutivas no Festival Internacional da Canção no Rio de Janeiro. Lápis também gravou um LP, “Dia de Arlequim” e com o conjunto “Bitten-4”, formado por Fernando, Anadir e Dalton, gravou “Manhã de Sol” – na Sam Jazz Quintet, de Curitiba.
