A data foi criada pela Organização Mundial da Saúde (OMS) em 1948, devido a preocupação com o bom estado de saúde das pessoas no mundo e alertar para os principais problemas que podem atingir a população.

 O tema escolhido para 2018 é “Saúde para todos”, chamando a atenção para a importância da bem-estar universal. As ações realizadas neste dia são em parceria com unidades de saúde e os assuntos debatidos são prolongados ao longo do ano através de palestras e atividades educativas. Elas buscam garantir que todas as pessoas e comunidades tenham acesso aos serviços e conscientiza-las dos benefícios que uma vida saudável pode trazer.

Atualmente é muito fácil de praticar atividades físicas, pois existem opções variadas e que são gratuitas. As academias ao ar livre são exemplos que possibilitam a prática de diversas atividades e estão na maioria das cidades. Muitas delas são desenvolvidas especialmente para as pessoas idosas.

Saúde e exercício físico em Ponta Grossa

Em Ponta Grossa, um dos lugares mais procurados para a prática de exercícios físicos é o Parque Ambiental que conta com vários espaços para prática de esportes como quadras de vôlei e basquete, parque para crianças, pista com um quilômetro para caminhada, pista de skate e ainda academia ao ar livre.

Para o professor de educação física Diego Fernando de Matos a prática de exercícios em espaço aberto tem como vantagem o contato com a natureza. Os cuidados ao começar a fazer atividades físicas são simples: deve-se fazer alongamento para prevenir lesões e hidratar o corpo bebendo muita água. Os resultados vêm por conta do tipo de treinamento que se faz. “Numa caminhada por exemplo, deve sempre aumentar a carga da distância ou o tempo percorrido a cada 15 dias e assim conseguir obter um bom resultado em resistência”, explica.

Cláudia Regina Camilo que é frequentadora do Parque Ambiental onde caminha todos os dias cerca de uma hora e já sente os benefícios em sua saúde. “Comecei a fazer atividades físicas por causa do sedentarismo. Emagreci dois quilos em dois meses, me sinto mais ativa, com vontade de fazer outras coisas. Eu estava muito acomodada”, conta animada.
